A BR MLV brings up the rear of a boat train from Victoria as it passes Brixton on March 19, 1967. It has just turned left at Brixton Junction onto the Catford Loop. The via Herne Hill route and Brixton station itself are to the photographers right. The Catford Loop rejoins the Herne hill route at Shortlands Junction and with the four tracks from the latter to Swanley thus effectively provides a four track line all the way from Brixton to Swanley.
