BR 4-VEP EMU No 7707 leada a 12 car formation on a Waterloo to Bournemouth service seen just after passing Wimbledon on July 3, 1967. I wonder if the 08 shunter had worked a trip there (from Clapham Jcn?) or was based there?

Robert Waterman comments " Post full Bournemouth line electric service from 10th July 1967 headcode 39 applied to the Waterloo - Reading line. Prior to that headcode 39 does not appear to exist so I presume it is a special of some sort. Bournemouth line headcodes were from 90 onwards "
