EMU 4282 1969-06-08 Eastleigh

The DMBS nearest the camera is from an early BR built all-steel 4-SUB and is coach number S10859. The vehicle behind it, with a yellow cantrail stripe, appears to be a 2HAL DTC with accident damage as has the vehicle behind.
4282 had been involved in a collision at Wimbledon on 10th August 1967 and this coach was found to be beyond economic repair, it was sent in a temporary formation with other coaches on its final trip from Basingstoke to scrap merchants T J Thompson & Sons of Stockton on Tees on November 19th 1969.
