North Eastern Railway W.Worsdell 'V' (LNER 'C6') class 4-4-2 No. 1753. Built at Gateshead in August 1904 and withdrawn in July 1946 as LNER No. 2395.

Accepting that it's just my opinion, but this magnificent photograph of a down postal express is amongst the finest action images ever taken in pre-grouping times. 'Nuff said!
