730 1932-08-28 York MPD

Ex-North Eastern Railway Worsdell '4CC' (LNER 'C8') class 2-4-2 Compound No. 430 at York MPD on Sunday 28th August 1932. Built at Gateshead in April 1906 as NER No. 730 and withdrawn in January 1935. Only two of this class were built, both featuring NER Chief Draughtsman Walter Smith's 4-cylinder compound system. No. 730 had Stephenson valve gear and No. 731 was fitted with Walschaerts.
