With a varied collection of wagonsDavid J Hayes comments A complete guess on my part, but possibly a London-bound Class 8 traditional mixed goods from South Wales (e.g. Severn Tunnel Jn.) to Temple Mills or Ripple Lane, maybe?. He adds A little more information has come to light, which pretty much confirms this as being a Severn Tunnel Junction (STJ) to Temple Mills working. In 1974 (post-dating this image), it was booked off STJ at 06:55. The service probably called at Acton Yard for traffic purposes before crossing London to reach its ultimate destination.
