On the Immingham to Ulceby line so probably being tried out on trains of heavy imported Iron Ore to Sheffield, "G" was, during that general period, Sheffield; Scunthorpe being "Y". However we have doubts about if the correct train reporting number is being displayed and direction of travel. Wagons appear to be empty (although Iron Ore can be a very 'low' load), telegraph pole spars suggest train on down line, so presumably heading towards Immingham..
