David. J. Hayes says Based on the headcode, I would hazard a guess that this is an empty block tanker train returning to Essex, possibly Ripple Lane Yard. I believe there was an oil terminal at Newbury, where this train may well have possibly originated from. 1529 was Stratford allocated at the time.
