On the down Red Rose
Peter kerslake says "Certainly not the best location for any decent railway photography here at Liverpool Lime Street , surely one of the most gloomy and difficult of locations , many of my efforts from the 29th . May , 1956 being hopelessly underexposed and unprintable.
An equally shabby 45525 " Colwyn Bay " runs in at 4.p.m. with the " Red Rose " from Euston , the crew doubtless being pleased to be back home with their Edge Hill engine after their long run from the Capital".
