Note the St Rollox positioning of the number and the fact that the grill is not subdivided like other pilot scheme locos. This loco was one of those taken in and out of store (both servicable and unservicable), before final withdrawl on 18th July 1976. It was stored at Carstairs from May 1976 to August 1977 before travelling south for scrapping. Given that she is in good condition (complete with worksplate) and outside the shed (which was used for storing locos), I think this shot was taken before the period of storage, probably Winter 1975-6.
