GWR County 4-6-0 No 1004 County of Somerset together with pannier tank 5741 on shed at Swindon on 30 January 1955.

Peter Kerslake adds "Swindon shed's cleaners seem to have had a go at making their own "County of Somerset" looking its best, but the paintwork is certainly past its best, this engine and 1019 "County of Merioneth" both being allocated to Swindon in the mid 'fifties.
Of the thirty of the class Bristol Bath Road and Shrewsbury had the most, with six housed at each location, the remaining members spread over no less than six other depots".
