BR class 2MT 2-6-0 No 78022 heading North arriving at Ilkeston Junction and Cossall station in the early 1950s, the BR standard class 2MT is probably working a Nottingham-Sheffield service. The track coming in from the right is the branch platform for the line from Ilkeston Town, clearly there is plenty of mining activity in the area. The loco was allocated to Millhouses from new until 1962.
