55204 1960c near Ledcharrie viaduct

Caledonian Railway '439' 0-4-4T No. 55204 in the early 1960s. This is just west of Ledcharrie viaduct, about half way between Luib and Killin Junction, looking east. The hill in the background is the giveaway as unlike much of the surrounding landscape of the line today, its not been covered in trees and the various watercourses coming down the front of the hill are exactly the same today. It is also known that the Killin branch train did continue through to Crianlarich on occasion.
