D6505 1966c London Waterloo

D6505 at Waterloo in 1966 was still without a yellow warning panel over five years after it was delivered from Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company at Smethwick in April 1960. It is shunting Waterloo and City tube stock which has been away for heavy maintenence, either at Wimbledon depot or Eastleigh works. It was renumbered as 33005 in 1974 and withdrawn after a generator flashover and fire in 1987. In the background is the Shell Centre which had been completed by the end of 1966.
