This is the Dart Valley Flyer of 25th September 1971 organised by DAA.This working is taking the eastbound line through Totnes station with Daws ' Creameries on the right , no longer in operation although parts of the buildings still remain there today , their future yet to be decided. In its heyday the creamery processed milk for the Capital , and the daily afternoon milk train from Cornwall would take on additional fully loaded milk tank wagons here at Totnes during its halt on the way to Kensington Depot in London . In the early days of steam preservation the quay at Totnes had been used as a temporary home for a number of steam locomotives before more permanent homes were found for them at Buckfastleigh and at Didcot .
