David J Hayes adds the details As per the May 1969 to May 1970 Working Time Table, this service ran as 6O54, the 19:45 SSuX Stratford to Dover, which was booked through Kensington Olympia at 20:39. The train is formed of an assortment of Continental freight rolling stock (mainly vans) returning to Europe, the majority of which have probably been loaded/unloaded at Stratford LIFT (London International Freight Terminal). One of the main categories of traffic using the Dover train-ferry during the 1970's was perishables, such as imported fruits and vegetables, destined for such locations as Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester and no doubt elsewhere. Since my earlier comment, I have acquired a WTT showing that the headcode for this air-braked service to Dover (Marine) by this date had been amended to 6O63 (Southern Region headcode EA). The evening departure time off Stratford (LIFT) was still booked for 19:45 SSuX, but the passing time at Kenny-O was slightly later at 8:41pm
