On the 07.04 Wolverhampton-RamsgateDavid J. Hayes adds the details Although the photographer has unfortunately cropped a little off the top of the signals, this is still a splendid West London Line scene from the early 1970s, when this cross-city axis would have been both very busy and full of interesting workings, especially at Kensington Olympia where Motorail and milk traffic activity could also be seen.As described elsewhere, the May 1970-May 1971 WTT shows this weekly summer Saturday morning train running as 1O91 (Southern Region headcode H6), the 07:04 SO Wolverhampton High Level to Ramsgate. It would have been electric-hauled to Willesden (Mitre Bridge Junction) and due through Kenny-O at about 09:15.The balancing return working was 1M55 (also SR code H6), the 12:20 SO Ramsgate to Wolverhampton High Level (arr. 16:40), which can also be found on the Rail-Online website. This would have been due through Kenny-O at about 14:30 and diagrammed for electric haulage from Willesden (Mitre Bridge Junction). Both trains ran during the period 13th June to 5th September 1970.
