H class 0-4-4T No 31306 propels a motor train for Tunbridge Wells West away from Tonbridge on January 29, 1960.
Rather unusually the loco is chimney towards the coach. Coching set 714 is made up from former SECR coaches converted in 1945. It will be their final year of service.
