Castle class 4-6-0 No 7011 Banbury Castle at Bristol Bath Road Shed shed in August 1948. Lindsay Bryant adds "Reporting numbers in the 5xx series were usually used on extra trains from the West Country, frequently to the Midlands which would have justified a loco change at Bristol then via the Severn Tunnel to Shrewsbury". Interestingly the No5 train reporting number plate is carrying the Bristol "BL" code from its GWR days.

Keith Morris says "This loco appears to be be in one of the early BR experimental liveries - lighter green than the GWR green with non-standard lining out (white and black) - well seen on the tender"
