GWR Castle class 4-6-0 No 4080 Powderham Castle at Newton Abbot shed in c1928.

Peter Kerslake adds "Recorded here alongside Newton Abbot depot and coaling stage at about 1928 4080 "Powderham Castle" had been built at Swindon in March of 1924 and was initially shedded at Old Oak Common, later moving to Bristol Bath Road and in the 'sixties finding herself at Cardiff Caanton and then East Dock before being withdrawn in August of 1964 from Old Oak.
In service 4080 was recorded with the highest mileage of any of the true "Castles" notching up almost two million miles by the end of 1963."
