GWR Castle class 4-6-0 No 5001 Llandovery Castle near Starcross in 1930.

Peter Kerslake says "It's low tide here at Starcross, just west of Exeter, with the estuary of the River Exe on the left so this must be a northbound working, next stop Exeter St . Davids.
5001 "Llandovery Castle", built in September of 1926, was initially housed at Old Oak Common and following time spent at Cardiff moved to Shrewsburyin the late 'fifties before returning to Old Oak Common in August of 1960 from where it was condemned in February of 1963."
