Np 5054 Earl of Ducie after arrival at Paddington with the returning Ian Allan Plymouth special on May 9, 1964.

Peter Kerslake adds "Rostered upon the final stage o the Ian Allan Special of the 9th. May 1964 "Earl of Ducie" ran from Bristol Temple Meads to here at Paddington, just failing to reach the 100 m.p.h. hoped for but giving a fine account of itself all the same.
One of just six of the class in action that day 5054 was based at Worcester but in September 1964 it was moved down to Gloucester Horton Road from where it was condemned after just four weeks there."
