GWR Castle class 4-6-0 No 5042 Winchester Castle and 6326 on the turntable at Canton shed.

Peter Kerslake says "5042 'Winchester Castle' must have been a good one as it survived right until the end of steam on the Western Region, one of three still at Gloucester Horton Road until late 1965, keeping company with 'Devizes Castle' and 'Clun Castle' and it carries a Gloucester shed plate in this view, probably having worked down to Cardiff earlier in the day and now being readied to return home."
