With empty train reporting number frame, GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 7018 Drysllwyn Castle with the 1.15pm Paddington-Weston super Mare approaching Iver on 19 July 1958.

Peter Kerslake says" Not a particularly good engine in its earlier days with a reputation as being a poor steamer whilst housed at Bristol Bath Road 7018 'Drysllwyn Castle' underwent substantial treatment at Swindon Works in May of 1958 resulting in a marked improvement in its performance on the Paddington to Bristol services during its later years, the engine moving from Bath Road to St. Philips Marsh and then to Old Oak Common in October of 1961 from where it was withdrawn in September of 1963."
