GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 5041 Tiverton Castle climbing the bank from Torquay to Torre at Sanford Road Torquay heading back to Newton Abbot with a local train but still carrying the train reporting number from the Torbay Express (146), it is headed by a LMS motor car van on 7 August 1952. The returning loco often kept the headboard on. The LE lamp code confirms - the usual position for a B class passenger.
