7012 1954-04-10 West Ealing

Castle class 4-6-0 No 7012 Barry Castle passes West Ealing with the down 'Pembroke Coast Express' on April 10, 1954.

Peter Kerslake adds "This is the 10.55 a.m.,worked in three sections, firstly from Paddington to Swansea, usually loaded to eight coaches with reversal there so Landore's 7012 will work only to Swansea from where a reduced load of four coaches will be taken to Carmarthen before the last leg from Carmarthen to Pembroke Dock is reduced to an "All Stations" stopping service. The 244 miles from start to finish took seven hours."
