4032 1932-01 Old Oak Common

GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 4032 Queen Alexandra on shed at Old Oak Common in January 1932.

Peter Kerslake says "Recorded here in its original condition 4032 "Queen Alexandra" has the inside valve chest with its attractive curved corners, original inside valve steam covers and outside steam pipies with its lamp bracket above the smokebox.
Built in October of 1910 and shedded initially at Old Oak Common 4032 was rebuilt in 1925/26 to a "Castle" and allocated to Plymouth's Laira depot and was still there in 1948 before being condemned from Taunton in September of 1951."
