It is January 1967 and 70023 " Venus " is now allocated to Carlisle Kingmoor , from where she was condemned that following December .
Allocated from being newly built at Crewe in August of 1951 to Old Oak Common " Venus " was regularly rostered from her home Depot to Top Link passenger duties from Paddington to Cardiff , Plymouth , Bristol and Wolverhampton before moving to Cardiff Canton in February of 1967 , later heading for the MIdland Region initially at Kingmoor in September of 1961.
In this view a rather work stained " Venus " is heading a substantial fast freight with rakes of coal wagons on the left in this view with additional wagons on the rght.
