60107 1957-03 Sheffield Victoria

Ex-LNER Gresley 'A3' class 4-6-2 No. 60107 'Royal Lancer'. Built at Doncaster in May 1923 as LNER No. 4476 and withdrawn in September 1963. The long closed ex-Great Central Railway station at Sheffield Victoria is the scene for the up 'South Yorkshireman' headed by grubby 60107. The clutter of overhead catenary does not seem to require the A3 to feature a yellow cabside stripe, but then again - we're not south of Crewe!
