Seen here in 1951 at Grantham, the powerful and elegant lines of 60106 are seen to good advantage. 'Flying Fox' was one of the initial Great Northern Railway built batch of Sir Nigel Gresley's 'A1' class Pacifics. Built in April 1923 as GNR No. 1475, 60106 would serve until withdrawal in December 1964. p.s. Note the immaculately clean platforms!
