E1631 and 1203 are in the shed yard

Poor old 60104 " Solario " had the unhappy distinction of being the first " A3 " to be withdrawn , ending her days in December of 1959 somewhat earlier than planned following accident damage , according to the records.
Built as an "A1" she was rebult into class "A3" in 1941 and looks in fine form here in her newly applied British Railways livery passing on the through road at Hitchin just after Nationalisation .
