One of the most camera-shy A3s, No 60104 ‘Solario’ approaches Peascliffe Tunnel north of Grantham with an express from Kings Cross on 4th August 1958. Built in 1923, this engine was the first of its type to be withdrawn, in December 1959, despite having been fitted with a double chimney in April of that year.
