LT&SR Coach 283 1950s Stratford

LT&SR Coach 283 1950s Stratford

Some mystery surrounds this vintage coach's origin and fate. The photograph was taken in the 1950s and is at Stratford. We think it is a genuine LT&SR 3rd class coach but what happened to it? Any suggestions most welcome!
Vic Smith answers "From National Preservation.com website:-
“ No. 283 and Wisbech & Upwell tramway coach No. 8 were used in the "Titfield Thunderbolt", They were stored for a time in the late 1950s at Stratford and were photographed together there, I think by the late R.C. "Dick" Riley. Unfortunately a shortage of space caused them to join the many condemned wooden coaches there and they were burned.”
