LNER class K3 2-6-0 No 1308 with a freight train somewhere in north east England on September 8, 1942. Note the industrial 0-4-0ST Iit looks like a RSH design) being towed in the train with its rods removed safely - they are probably in the cab. The brake van is a LNWR design nicknamed a 'Crystal Palace Brake' in late 1930s LMS livery.
