Ex-North British Railway Reid 'M' (LNER 'C15') class 4-4-2 Tank No. 9006. Built by Yorkshire Engine Co. of Sheffield in April 1912 as NBR No. 5 and withdrawn in September 1954 as BR No. 67456.

This August 1937 portrait was taken at Glasgow's Eastfield MPD. William Reid's 'M' class Atlantic Tanks were ordered from the Sheffield's Yorkshire Engine Company, an unusual choice. The thirty C15s were known officially as "Yorkshire Tanks", but more familiarly as "Yorkies" and were employed on a wide range of 'local' passenger duties. The last survivors were withdrawn in 1962.
