The immaculate west side pilot at Liverpool St Station. The crews were paid extra to keep the locomotive in pristine external condition -and earned it!

No 69614 was withdrawn in December 1960 leaving only the J69 No 68619 to do the station pilot work until October 1961 when it too was withdrawn.
