69674 1950s South Lynn
South Lynn station on the former Midland and Great Northern Line between the North East Midlands and the North Norfolk coast was situated a mile or so to the west of the larger and former Great Eastern station at Kings Lynn, with a shuttle service seen here running between the two stations.
This view is looking northwards towards Wisbech and beyond, and this location was deep in the heart of the local sugar beet production land, the sweet smell from the local factory invariably wafting over Kings Lynn if the wind was coming from the west!
