Immaculate, possibly soon after its last Heavy General repair completed on 5/8/61. It is ironic that one of the very early design proposals produced by Crewe Drawing office for the Black 5s had Caprotti valve gear, a high running plate and cut-off cab. In its LNWR style lined black the very last built neatly completes the circle. Estimated date.
