Ex-Midland Railway Anderson 'Big Bertha' class 0-10-0 No. 58100. Built at Derby in December 1919 as MR No. 2290 and withdrawn in May 1956.
Ex-LMS Fowler 'Jinty' class 0-6-0 Tank No. 47638. Built by Beardmore of Glasgow in December 1928 as LMS No. 7638 and withdrawn in July 1963.

'Big Bertha' provides the answer to a good quiz question! Namely, "which main line tender locomotive hardly ever pulled a train"? It pushed tens of thousands though! Here it is on the two miles and four chains long, 1 in 37.7 incline in September 1951. It's receiving a pat on the back from 'Jinty' 47638.
