58850 1953-04-25 Cromford Bottom Yard

58850 1953-04-25 Cromford Bottom Yard

The grouping in 1923, allowed locomotives designed and intended for one particular area to find more suitable work elsewhere in Britain. Thus the LMS determined that some of these ex-North London Railway '2F' 0-6-0 Tanks should find new homes in deepest Derbyshire! 58850 was at Cromford Bottom Yard on Saturday 25th April 1953 at the Cromford & High Peak Railway. The Cromford canal is behind the engine and the ex-MR main line is behind the wall.

Nice detail for the modeller, including the tank top pipework too!
