An N2 which eventually survived to be preserved and exists today in private ownership. When this photograph was taken in about 1950 passing the large signal box at Kings Cross, No 69523 was just another 0-6-2 clambering up the hill out of the terminus with intensive suburban traffic and empty stock workings. A nice silhouette of the crew at work.
