Ex-Great Northern Railway Gresley 'N2' class 0-6-2 Condensing Tank No. 4611. Built at Doncaster in July 1921 as GNR No. 1611 and withdrawn in September 1958 as BR No. 69495.

The art of night photography has come a long way since March 1937. Nonetheless, condensing tank 4611 was very effectively captured by Les Hanson at King's Cross Station in this highly evocative photograph.
