Beyer-Garratt No.47981 and an ‘8F’ 2-8-0 in 1951 leave Water Orton and head for Tamworth and probably Toton on the direct or ‘Fast ‘ lines. Note that the Down line has now been re-laid with flat bottom rail - see the earlier photograph of ‘3F’ No.43506 in 1949.
