6435 1965-04-28 Birmingham Snow Hill

Preserved ‘Pannier’ No.6435 joined with ’4F’No.44188 from Bescot shed on 24th April 1965 to work a Stephenson Locomotive Society Tour to mark the closure of the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway. The pair took the train to Stratford-on-Avon (GW), and then No.6435 went solo to Racecourse Junction handing over there to No.44188 which ran through Stratford Old Town (SMJ) via Kineton and Fenny Compton to Woodford Halse. They then followed the same itinerary in reverse back to Snow Hill.
