LMS Coronation 4-6-2 No 46224 Princess Alexandra on 1 October 1949. 46224 is on the down fast at Whitmore and is carrying the experimental dark blue livery it acquired in May 1948. She received the standard blue livery in August 1950. The neat train of Stanier stock is probably 'The Royal Scot' judging by the carriage boards
