Black liveried ‘Coronation’ No 46236 ‘City of Bradford’ is passing Reading on 12th May 1948 during the Locomotive Exchanges of that summer. The milepiost is 35 ¾ from Paddington which is just the London side of the station. I think the lines leading off to the left are the connecting route to the Southern. That is the signal box on the left that backed onto the SR shed.
