LMS Coronation 4-6-2 No 46220 Coronation with a down express passing Adswood Sidings about half a mile south of Stockport Edgeley in the 1950s, it has a speed indicator cable fitted to rear driver which would date photo to after Nov 1957. Tender insignia is not 100% clear but probably still the early crest, it had the second emblem or crest applied in Jun 1958. I have another photo of Crab 42788 on the same day but a wider view. Trees are in leaf in which case it must be May-June 1958. I would have thought the class was far from common at Stockport in that period.
