LMS Coronation 4-6-2 No 46230 Duchess of Buccleuch on the Down 'Royal Scot' between Middlegill Farm and Greskine in May 1957. In '57 it arrived Glasgow 5.15pm weekdays and 6pm SO, so on Beattock before 5pm, if on time.
The telegraph poles on Beattock were on the west, down, side of the line.
