It was strange that Crewe works would employ a tender locomtive as a works shunter but here is the proof. Aspinall ex-L&Y 0-6-0 No 52312 lines up with others on a sunny Sunday 22nd July 1962. Each shunter appeared to carry a reporting code - in this case, W13.
