The bulky lines of ex-LNER Gresley 'A8' 69865 are evident in one of York North MPD's roundhouses. Although 69865 started life as am NER Raven designed 'H1' class 4-4-4 Tank, it and all its classmates were rebuilt as 4-6-2's to provide improved adhesion. Sunday 23rd SEptember 1956.
